If your pet cannot be humanely dematted, I may ask permission to clip the hair to remove mats. A matted coat can cause numerous health conditions including itching, irritation and skin infections.
Removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles and skin folds trapped and hidden in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture near the pet’s skin allowing fungus or bacteria to grow causing skin irritations that exist prior to the grooming process. In order to provide the best possible experience for your dog, I will recommend a maintenance scheduled customized to your dog’s coat type, your lifestyle and how much maintenance you are able to do at home between appointments.
This is to ensure that your dog continues to enjoy their spa experiences for years to come and helps you avoid extra costs due to additional time spent dematting or patiently working through a difficult groom for your dog.

Some breeds naturally have longer quicks (nerve ending inside the nail bed) while others grow long quicks from lack of frequent nail trimming or from nails that grow rather quickly. As a result of long quicks we can only remove a certain amount without "quicking". For pets with overgrown quicks/nails we recommend coming in every 2-3 weeks to help get those long nails to an appropriate and comfortable length for your pet. Overgrown quicks will naturally recede within 2-3 weeks after a nail trim answer to this item.

No, only because it makes your dog more anxious. Your dog will be much calmer when they cannot see or smell you, and will get very fidgety and distracted if you are in the room. We don’t blame them! For their own safety and peace of mind, I need their full attention when grooming them.

I prefer they be picked up as soon after they are finished, as possible.
I offer a Spa & Play add-on if your planning to be a few hours after your dog is complete. Please show up on time, I do not want to issue late charges but will if needed, although a polite first warning is given.

I highly recommend bringing your puppies in for short grooming sessions, especially breeds that will require regular grooming throughout their adult life. I offer a ‘Puppy Intro’ for puppies under 5 months old to help introduce them to the ins and outs of the grooming process.
This includes acclimatizing them to getting bathed, blow dried, handled by other people, and being around grooming tools. I take things slow so as not to overwhelm your dog and always remind ourselves that we are, after all, dealing with puppies!

Pets can sense their owners energy, energy of other people and other pets, and all the smells and "all the feels" at once, especially if they are in a new environment. It's not uncommon for some pets to display shaking or odd behaviour at drop off. Some pets get overwhelmed with the initial separation from the owner while others aren't bothered at all by the process. I can assure you once that initial separation anxiety passes your pet will do great and settle down

I believe this should be done by veterinarians as they also express them internally and not externally like groomers do, Therefore I do not offer this service.

In order to ensure the safety of myself and other pets in our care, I cannot accept dog grooming clients who are known to be aggressive or have a bite history.
This policy is in place due to insurance requirements and is designed to protect everyone involved in the grooming process. I understand that every dog has their own unique personality and behavior, but for the safety of all involved, I must prioritize the well-being of myself and other pets.
I strive to create a positive and comfortable environment for all of my clients, and I believe that our no-aggression policy plays a critical role in achieving this goal. By adhering to this policy, I can provide exceptional grooming services without compromising the safety of anyone involved.
If your dog shows signs of high aggression or tries to bite it will be sent home immediately. Also understand that I work alone with no other staff to help me with difficult cases.

That's wonderful! At the time of groom you can always tip your groomer, the same as you would for your own hairdresser. At home, you can leave me a review on my Facebook or Google page and tell me what you liked about your experience.
